July 12th, 2008 4 Tips for Fast Fat Loss Part I

Fat Loss Tip #1) Train With Weights

Working out with weights when trying to lose body fat has numerous important benefits. First, an intense weight training session burns calories during the actual workout.

Second, an extremely important benefit is that intense weight training elevates your metabolism for up to 39 hours after your actual workout. In other words, because of the intense weight workout, your metabolism has been stimulated where you are now burning more calories while you are doing nothing.

Carbohydrates power intense weight training sessions. The more intense the session, the more you deplete your arbohydrate stores and the more fat is burned during the recovery phase, i.e. after the workout.

In other words, as the intensity of the training increases there is a proportionate increase in fat burning after the workout.

One study showed that 15 exercise sessions per month (50 minute sessions at 50 percent of oxygen uptake) could lead to an extra 2 plus pounds per month of fat loss, strictly from the elevated metabolism and extra calories burned - while doing nothing! That’s an extra 26 pounds plus, of fat burned per year.

Another extremely important aspect of fat loss that occurs from training with weights is adding leas muscle to your body. Lean muscle is metabolically active, i.e., muscle burns calories even while doing nothing. So, the more lean muscle you have, the higher your resting metabolism and the more calories you burn each day while doing nothing.

Studies have estimated that for each pound of muscle that you add to your body, you burn another 25 to 50 calories per day while doing nothing. So, an extra 10 pounds of muscle may burn approximately 250 to 500 calories a day, or an extra pound of fat every 7 to 14 days, without making any other changes.

This is essential to taking off the fat and keeping it off. You see, when you add muscle to your body, you greatly increase the number of calories your burn each day. So, once you achieve your fat loss goals you can start eating more food without putting
the fat back on, as long as you have built muscle (and keep it by continuing to train with weights)!

On the flip side, if you don’t train with weights while dieting and losing weight, two very bad things will occur. First, at least half of the weight you lose will be muscle. And this causes number two, which is that your metabolism gets slower,
causing progress to eventually grind to a halt, leading to gaining all the weight back and more.

But now you are even worse off before because your body composition is worse than when you were previously at this weight. You replaced muscle with fat, so now your metabolism is even slower, making it easier to gain even more fat, and harder to take it off.

As you can see, training with weights is an extremely powerful and necessary component of any successful weight loss program.
Look for Part II coming soon!

July 10th, 2008 IT Marketing: Using Your Elevator Pitch

Elevator pitches are effective, quick ways of practicing your IT marketing daily. They key is to say something memorable and quick, and to use it whenever appropriate. In this article, you learn how to make your elevator speech stand out for effective IT marketing.

For example, you get in the elevator on the 20th floor and you see a man or woman that is very well-dressed. This person looks like an executive who could potentially be a good customer of yours. You’re both leaving the same cocktail party. She looks down at your name tag and says, “Hi Randy, how’s it going?” You say, “Okay, how’s it going with you?”

Most people are curious, especially at these networking events, and like many other people, she asks, “Where are you from?” This is where you need to reach in your bag of IT marketing tricks and respond with your elevator pitch.

“A company that repairs, builds, and upgrades computers.” If her computers happen to be a mess, she may ask for a card or ask you further questions.

Examples of effective elevator pitches

“I’m xxx with xxx and we make it our business to help small and mid-sized businesses learn how to get the best benefits out of their computers, the Internet and networking productivity.”

Another one is, “Our service team specializes in on-site business service and networking solutions. We also provide consulting in the areas of network development and ongoing maintenance.”

Remember to Talk Benefits

IT marketing is all about the benefits, so it’s important you give them to the people you’re speaking with. You’re talking about how you provide business services and you provide network consulting and if you can talk a little more about the types of problems that you help people solve, it might intrigue them a little more. You might even consider a call to action at the end, like ask them for an appointment for a consultation.

July 6th, 2008 A Look Back At Forex Trading - 4/18/06

Cable final broke through the super resistance at 1.7600 yesterday. Even though we had a losing trade last night, I have to say I am glad to see that tight range behind us. Maybe now we will see a few prolonged and definable trends.

If this is the case it will make it much easier to make a good profitable trade. On the other hand Cable could just as easily slide right back into a consolidation sideway market. Only time will tell.

We we lick our wound from last night and bid farewell to the 1.7600 resistance level. It served us well over the past few months holding on at least a half a dozen occasions. Lets take a look at last night and see what it took to break that resistance. Was it a 20, 40 or 60 pip move, no way? It took a lot more than that to break through, it was a 150 pip move that did the job. Only a move of this magnitude would have the momentum to break and hold above the established resistance.

Last weeks trades were not bad, but last night was not so much. We now have a possible trending market to play for the first time since the first of February.

Tonight we are trading around 1.7710. We are looking for a buy for the first time in months, and some of our traders are going to play both a buy and a sell at opposite end of the expected range.

There is some support around 1.7706, and even more around 1.7680. The first resistance is going to be around 1.7750. We do like to caution traders on making too aggressive of an entry, the 1 hour MACD is still on the sell side of the signal line, although there appears to be some divergence on this chart recently. To learn more about how we teach traders to successfully trade the forex market, be sure to get yourself a top quality forex trading education. One that includes either a forex seminar or a forex trading course.

We find these support and resistance levels using a set of technical indicators and other variables that we have found to be most successful for us. We use several other indicators and a variety of technical analysis techniques to enter and exit all of our trades. Every trader will have a different combination of indicators that makes the most sense to them. July 6th, 2008 Tyranosaurus Rex

Everyone knows T Rex was the most fearsome of all dinosaurs. He could and did kill everything in his path for food or maybe stupid meanness. His brain was very small and he did not survive.

There is a T-Rex among us today and it is disguised, but it is killing us in another way. This T-Rex is killing and eating our retirement portfolios. You may have noticed your stock account has lost some of its value during the past 3 years. Something or someone is nibbling away at it. It has gotten so bad that many people don’t even want to look at their statements every month. Is there a way to keep the beast, whatever its name, from completely eating everything? Yes, there is.

Currently there is an advance in the stock market and you have been told by the talking heads on CNBC-TV that the bull market has resumed and it is best to “put whatever cash you might have into the market. Don’t lose this opportunity to make back what you have lost”.

This is a very sneaky T-Rex. It is out in the bushes and it may not have seen you yet. If you still currently own any equities you want to protect them from the beast. If this is a new bull market you may want to participate. OK, buy something, but you must know where to run to hide should the T-Rex come out again. How?

Now, I said now, you must decide how much you are willing to risk from here, not where you were 3 years ago. Don’t try to get “even”. You can’t. As this market rises you should be following every stock you own with an open stop-loss order. It could be 8%, 10%, 15%. Whatever you feel comfortable with. Do not try to outsmart the beast. Listen for his return and have your protection in place so it will automatically be triggered when T-Rex returns.

None of us knows how long you will be able to graze in the green pastures. It may only be days, but could be months or longer. If you are cautious the monster will not get you. The market itself will tell you when to run for shelter. No guessing. That is the wisdom of a stop-loss protection.

Take a few moments to review your stock and mutual fund holdings of 2000. Look up the price at that time for each issue. If you had placed loss protection on each one how much would you have saved?

In a bear market the best offense is a good defense. Don’t let T-Rex get you.

July 6th, 2008 Essential Skin Care - 5 Things You Must Know About Keeping Your Skin Healthy

The skin is quite an amazing organ. Weighing in at almost nine pounds, on average, the skin is the first line of defense for the body. The trouble is that we are not born with a user manual for our skin. To compound the issue, the most education people receive on the subject come from marketing messages produced by the skin care industry. As you will discover, the skin, although an amazing organ, is not that complicated to take care of. Below are the 5 essential things you should know about taking care of your skin.

1. The purpose of skin is to protect you and to excrete wastes. It takes oxygen and nutrients from the blood (not the air or any topical treatment) to help keep it healthy. It also expels oils, toxins and sweat through its pores. All of this, plus heavy moisturizers and creams and the pores can become clogged.

2. To keep your skin healthy, start on the inside first. Eat a healthy diet complete with plenty of colorful fruits and vegetables that a high in fiber, water and antioxidants. In addition to eating properly, avoid excess alcohol and all tobacco products.

3. Keep your skin by cleansing with warm or lukewarm water. Splash the water on your skin gently and never expose your skin to extreme temperatures. Very hot or cold water can damage the tiny blood vessels in your skin, called capillaries. Also, while bathing avoid getting shampoo or other hair products on your skin because they can cause irritation. Remember to include your neck as part of your facial skin care.

4. When trying out products on your skin, always test with a small area. No matter what the claims on the product label (allergy-free, hypoallergenic, etc) you can still have a reaction to a new product.

5. Consistently follow a simple yet effective skin care regime. Cleanse, tone and moisturize.

Cleansing is very important because clogged pores usually precedes acne and blemishes. A cleanser should be slightly acidic to avoid stripping oils from the skin. Work the cleanser into your hands and then gently apply to your skin. Splash plenty of lukewarm water on your skin to remove the cleanser. In certain circumstances, you may need to cleanse twice. An example would include if you were wearing heavy cosmetics and/or cosmetics for a very long time.

Toning is the most important part of the skin care regimen. Toners are composed of mostly water and a little alcohol. They tighten the skin and help prepare it to receive the moisturizer. Make sure to check the ingredients and get one that contains cetyl alcohol. Any other kind of alcohol is too strong for the skin. The best way to apply a toner is with a spray bottle. It does not need to be wiped off either.

The last step is to moisturize. No matter if you have dry or oily skin, you still should moisturize. Make sure the moisturizer you choose is nonalkaline cream, lotion or gel. The type you buy should be based on your skin type. If you have dry skin, you can use a heavier product. If you have oily skin, go with a lighter product such as a gel. It is also good to use one that has UV protection (at least SPF 15). Depending on your lifestyle, you can also you a day cream and a night cream instead of a single product.

Proper skin care doesn’t have to be complex, expensive or time consuming. These 5 essential principals will go a long way towards helping you keep your skin looking its best. Of course, some people have more severe skin conditions and they should always consult a dermatologist for professional advice.

Our goal is to help you find ageless skin care advice. Visit Anti Aging Skin Care for more information on natural
skin care and the best skin care products.

July 3rd, 2008 A Guide To Plasma Televisions

One of the newest additions in television technology, Plasma Televisions are the 21st century display devices which are fast becoming a popular choice among television viewers. Plasma televisions have higher resolution and quality performance than other conventional televisions; they guarantee crisp and clear images, and superior quality.
Plasma televisions became a reality after the successful invention of the plasma display panel in 1964, by Donald L. Bitzer and H. Gene Slottow at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Embracing a unique technology, Plasma televisions produce pictures from a combination of inert gases such as xenon and neon. When the gas is charged using electrodes, the atoms collide with each other and release energy in the form of invisible ultra violet (UV) light. The light is then focused on the three phosphors (red, green, and blue) and a brilliant picture is produced.
Plasma televisions come as Enhanced Definition TV (EDTV) with a resolution of 852×480 and the Higher Definition TV (HDTV) featuring a native resolution of 1024×768. Plasma televisions have a high widescreen aspect ratio - the ratio between the width and height of the screen. As plasma televisions do not use any electron beams like the conventional ones, they are immune to the effects of magnetic fields. They offer a wider viewing angle and accurate image reproduction. Plasma televisions are slim and space-saving and can even be hung on a wall. Moreover, most of the plasma televisions come with a flat screen which eliminates edge distortion.
Plasma televisions can be used in meeting rooms, corporate offices, and network control rooms. They are ideal choices for home-theater enthusiasts. On account of quality performance in ambient light, plasma televisions are widely opted for teleconferencing.
A countless number of retail and online stores specialize in plasma television sale. Due to their inherent merits, plasma televisions are becoming the most demanded alternative to the standard CRT and projection televisions.

Televisions provides detailed information on Televisions, Plasma Televisions, LCD Televisions, Flat Screen Televisions and more. Televisions is affliated with Wholesale Plasma Televisions.
