May 27th, 2008 (MT) Metastock Part 2: Relative Strength Comparison (RSC) The Key Success Tool In Trading By Stock M

In Part 1 of this article, I discussed the importance of sector
analysis, and the use of the Relative Strength Comparison to
identify the best performing securities in the best performing
sectors. In Part 2, I will show you how to use MetaStock to find
these securities.

To create an exploration that uses the RSC you need to first
open a chart of the base index, e.g. S&P/ASX200 for the
Australian market, or the Straits Times Index for Singapore,
that you will be using for the comparison between market
sectors. Once the chart is open, left click on the price plot to
highlight the price information. You`ll know it`s selected when
a series of small dark squares appear on the price plot. It`s
important to note that each time you wish to do an exploration
of this kind, you must first choose your base index.

Next, open the Explorer dialog box and select `new`. Name the
Explorer the `MetaStock Guide Sector Analysis`. Then click
within `Column A` and enter the following formula:

ROC(MOV((C/P),13,S),1,%)

This formula calculates the rate of change, as a percentage, in
the relative strength of the sectors against the base index over
a 13 week period. It may seem complex but let`s break it down
into manageable parts, beginning with the inner-most brackets
first:

C/P is the relative strength (or RSC component) of the tested
sectors vs. the base security.

The way it`s calculated is by dividing the closing price of the
sector, by `P`, where `P` is the base index that you highlighted
before creating this exploration.

(MOV((C/P),13,S) calculates the moving average of the RSC over a
13 week period.

ROC(MOV((C/P),13,S),1,%)calculates the rate of change of the
moving average of the RSC, in other words, the amount the sector
has moved up or down as a percentage.

Looking back at MetaStock, note that you didn`t enter anything
into the filter tab. This is because you only use the filter tab
when you`re looking to remove certain securities from your
exploration results. Since you`re not looking to exclude any
sectors, but to rank all the sectors, you should leave the
filter blank.

Before running this exploration you must check the time period.
To do this click the `Options` button at the bottom of the
`Exploration Edition` dialog box and then select the radio
button marked weekly. Click `OK` twice to return to `the
Explorer` dialog box.

Now you`re ready to run the exploration, so click `Explore`. The
`Select Securities for MetaStock Guide Sector Analysis` dialog
box will appear, and you must select the directory with your
market sectors in it. This directory should be stored with your
other market data and is usually one directory up from your
equities folder. However this can vary, depending on who
supplies your data.

When the market sectors are highlighted, click `OK`. When the
exploration is complete the `Exploration Completed` dialog box
will appear. Click the `Reports` button and to get a summary of
the exploration. The results shown in `Column A` will give you
the rate of change of the relative strength

Tip: By clicking the `Column A` heading you can arrange the
results in ascending or descending order.

What Do these Results Mean?

The results of this exploration are fairly straightforward. A
value greater than zero indicates that market sector is
outperforming the base index. A zero indicates that the market
sector is performing on par with the base index, while a
negative number indicates the market sector is under-performing
the base index.

Remember, a rising RSC value only indicates that the market
sector is outperforming the base Index, it does not necessarily
mean the sector is rising in value. Similarly, if the RSC is
falling; it only indicates that that sector is under-performing
the market index, the market sector may not be loosing value.
Because of this, it is important to open the chart of the market
sectors to analyse the trends.

This information on its own can complement your current trading.
For example, you may decide to only trade securities which are
in top performing sectors. Or, you could take it one step
further and select the top five sectors and use the `MetaStock
Guide Sector Analysis` explorer again. This time, however, you
could compare individual securities against their respective
sectors.

The difference between running this exploration and running the
first one, is that the market index would now become the market
sector chart; and the list of sectors would become the list of
securities that make up the top performing sectors.

By following the same steps as before you could run five
separate explorations and rank the securities against their
respective sectors. The result would identify the top performing
securities within the top five sectors.

The final stage in this top down analysis would be to open all
the charts that have made it to the shortlist. You can whittle
this list down further by eliminating those securities that
aren`t in an up-trend or those that are too thinly traded. In
the end you`d be left with the cream of the crop, between five
and ten securities. These securities will be the best performing
securities in the best performing sectors.

These securities should now be placed on your watch list. I
suggest you don`t race out and buy them. Instead, wait for an
appropriate trigger to enter. This could be based on candlestick
patterns, and/or favourable combinations of other bullish
indicators.

The RSC exploration is a great way to utilise the power within
MetaStock. It can be an extremely effective tool in identifying
profitable trading opportunities. The downside for this type of
exploration is that it is not a complete system on its own and
would need to be combined with other entry, exit and money
management rules. However, you can create a solid trading system
that would benefit greatly from including sector analysis.

May 8th, 2008 Why Must the Lord Return When He Does - God’s Version of Enough is Enough

There are many ways that God enters into judgment with both individuals and entire nations. There is only one reason why he enters into judgment and that is rampant immorality and sin. The nations have followed the same path as ancient Israel. Like Israel they sought God for a time, but when they were secure and full they started backsliding into every imaginable sin. God then sent prophets, preachers and messengers of every kind and description. If their warnings went unheeded, which they did in most cases the judgments given by the messengers came against them.

When the people were tired of the lack of goods or the captivity or the warfare they began to seek the prophets and messengers again, but this time for the means to get right with God again. A microcosmic example of this in our recent past would be what happened right after the destruction of the Twin Towers in New York on nine eleven. People started going back to church in droves and church attendance reached record levels. But already we are showing signs of slipping again. The call to defeat terrorism by just returning to what we were doing before was taken more seriously than the call to return to God.

When a people, Jew or Gentile begin seeking God again their lot usually improves depending on how serious they are. This same vicious cycle is repeated over and over throughout history by almost every nation or people on the earth. Judgments come when people pass over the mark God has set for them. God is patient and slow to anger and it is amazing that he lets them go as far as he does in some cases. The longer a nation or people persist in their collective backsliding the more it strengthens them to continue in that pathway. Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is firmly set in them to do evil. Ecclesiastes 8: 11

The second coming will surprise more people than it will please. The promise of his second coming seems a long way behind us, and some would like to believe that it will not take place for several more millennia. What seems like a very long delay is one of the chief reasons they will he caught off guard and it is one of the world’s major excuses for unbelief. The apostle Peter covers this in 2Peter 3:3-4… Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming! For since the fathers fallen asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

How God judges sinful nations is the greater variable than why. He will use anything at his disposal in nature such as floods, drought, wild animals, plagues and general pestilence. He also uses internal collapses in the infrastructure and the financial well being of a nation. One of the more common ways he enters into judgment, is to bring another nation against the violators in all out warfare. He uses one nation’s fury in all out war or surprise attack to chasten the offender or to send a wake up call. What is most amazing of all is that the nation that is doing the judging may not even be as righteous or Godly as the nation being judged. The ancient Babylonians were not lovers of the God of Israel at all, but God used them to judge Israel. Not only did they come under chastisement from this pagan nation but the fact that they were so idolatrous was particularly offensive to the self righteous Jews of that time. Babylon’s godlessness was part of the humiliation attached to the judgment and they knew it.

A major difference at the end times is that no nation is in a position to judge any other nation. They have all gone into perdition. They all have decided to become part of the new world order and follow the antichrist. Since there are no nations able to enter into judgment for God, He has to do it himself. In other words at that time the whole world has passed the mark God has set, and only God can enter the judgment. It is the worldwide fall of nations that is the primary factor or what actually precipitates the second coming of Christ.

April 5th, 2008 God Has Not Cast Away Israel, Why I Support Israel

Romans tells us plainly God has not cast away Israel. This is
speaking plainly of the nation of Israel, not spiritual Israel.

Romans 11:1 I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God
forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of
the tribe of Benjamin. 2 a God hath not cast away his people
which he foreknew.

Romans warns those who were grafted in [gentiles by faith, who
became part of spiritual Israel] that they should not be haughty.

Romans 11 13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the
apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office: 14 If by any
means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and
might save some of them. 15 For if the casting away of them be
the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them
be, but life from the dead? 16 For if the firstfruit be holy,
the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the
branches. 17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and
thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and
with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou
bearest not the root, but the root thee. 19 Thou wilt say then,
The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in. 20
Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou
standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: 21 For if God
spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare
not thee. 22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God:
on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou
continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.
23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be
graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again. 24 For if
thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and
wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much
more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into
their own olive tree?

Romans tell us of the blindness of Israel towards the Messiah.
This will continue until the “fulness of the Gentiles has come
in”.

Romans 11 7 What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he
seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest
were blinded 8 (According as it is written, God hath given them
the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears
that they should not hear;) unto this day. 9 And David saith,
Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a
stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them: 10 Let their eyes be
darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway.
11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God
forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the
Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.

Romans 11 25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be
ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own
conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until
the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

Romans tell us all Israel will be saved as it is written.

Romans 11 26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is
written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall
turn away ungodliness from Jacob: 27 For this is my covenant
unto them, when I shall take away their sins. 28 As concerning
the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the
election, they are beloved for the fathers’ sakes. 29 For the
gifts and calling of God are without repentance. 30 For as ye in
times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy
through their unbelief: 31 Even so have these also now not
believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy. 32
For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have
mercy upon all. 33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom
and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and
his ways past finding out! 34 For who hath known the mind of the
Lord? or who hath been his counsellor? 35 Or who hath first
given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again? 36 For
of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be
glory for ever. Amen.

The Gospel is the power of God unto Salvation to the Jew first,
then the Gentile [Greek]!

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for
it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that
believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

The Jew will join with the Gentile, by faith, in Gods kingdom.

Romans 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the
Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call
upon him. Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there
is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for
ye are all one in Christ Jesus. Colossians 3:11 Where there is
neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision,
Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in
all.

The nature of the Jew and the gentile, both are brought to God
the same way. Neither one has it over the other, for all are
under sin. But God loves them all, and through Yeshua {Jesus,
Iesous} he will save them all.

Romans 2:28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly;
neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:

Romans 2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and
circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the
letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Romans 3:1 What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is
there of circumcision? Romans 3:9 What then? are we better than
they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and
Gentiles, that they are all under sin;

Romans 3:29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of
the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:

Romans 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the
Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call
upon him.

1 Corinthians 1:22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks
seek after wisdom:

1 Corinthians 1:23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the
Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

1 Corinthians 1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews
and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

This is why I pray for Israel’s Salvation, I also pray for the
peace of Jerusalem. I know however, that peace will only come to
Jerusalem when Yeshua HaMassiach will arrive.

I urge, therefore all men to pray for this. the Salvation of
the Jew and the Gentile. For we have brothers that are both Jew
and Gentile. The Gentiles are all races other than the Jews.

April 1st, 2008 Time Zones in The Book of Revelation (Part III)

When God Inspired John to write the book of Revelation, he did it for a purpose, to warn people during a certain era, one that he saw equal to the time before the flood, a time when evil was ran loose, when the Angelic Renegades, those watching the world for God left abode on high, above the clouds and came down to cohabitate with human females: he gave it to John to warn man of what was going to take place, happen. This was of curse not the end of the story but the beginning of a long played out itinerary (see the book of Genesis, chapter 6 for the sons of God came from the heavens and cohabitated…). No one knows the time or place this will all take place, so the Bible indicates, but it also says, to be alert, wise, prudent, in its signs (thus, to keep abreast of the times, what is happening in your world, and it is happening right now, right before our eyes):

This book was originally written in 1984, revised in 2001, published in 2002, and review by two clergy, and used in the churches at present in Haiti as a study guide:

Zone One:

Spread of Communism (Almost past, three countries left who proclaim Communism):

War, Rumors of wars, commotions (happening now)

A Time of Terror (Terrorism, assassinations, est.)) This is part of the New World Order make up at present; unforeseen 20-years ago))

Hope for Survival is Actually gone (we just pretend we got lots of time left)

Antichrist is Presently Here [Perhaps born around 1969?]

Zone Two:

Satanic power, signs and lying wonders

A New Church in the making

A World Common Market (Already here)

Building of Great Cities

(I traveled just recently to Panama, and they are building more skyscrapers than in any city I’ve ever been to. And no matter where I travel, and I travel a lot; people are building, building like crazy. Perhaps they should stop building and start feeding their people; and stop trying to get nuclear warheads and build water supplies instead of complaining they have no food or water, but enough guns to go around)

Expansion of Egypt (presently underway)

Growing Importance of the Middle East

(I believe we are at the end of Zone II, ready to enter Zone III, but the world needs to feel a little more before it can jump into the next zone, and it will.)

Zone Three:

The Earth at Rest

The Rapture

Zone Four:

Satan Takes over the Earth (Tribulation)

The Mark of the Beast

Gospel Preached to all Nations (95% so far)

Famines and Pestilence becoming more pronounced by the day, although most Americans don’t feel it)

Falling Stars

Many Martyrs

Zone Five:

The Return of Christ

Note: When I first wrote this book in 2001, or revised it in 2001, for it was originally written in 1984-85, I had put mankind in the First Time Zone; I believed of course that is where we belonged; with other parts of time zones interwoven, but now we are surely in the deep part of the second time zone. There are about 21-events from the bible I’ve indicates during these last days, and in 2001, I had counted 15-occurring, we are past that mark, and there are only a few left, such as Building the New Jewish Temple, which is on hold at present, but ready to be build at the blink of an eye. There are signs I have not added into this articlemany, no need to, we will witness them unfolding soon, or they have come and gone.

March 25th, 2008 The Holy Spirit Is Our Guide

You have probably heard it said the Holy Spirit is like a cloud; a fog; a ghost or even a wind. As we all know, it is as hard to explain what or who the Holy Spirit is as it is to explain what wind is. Obviously, the wind is something we cannot see, But, we can feel the wind so that leads us to try to explain it by talking about the effects of the wind and what it does all around us.

I have spent many fun-filled hours in wind-related activities such as: sailing boats, flying airplanes and soaring in hang gliders. As a result, I have become quite familiar with the effects of the wind. I know many of the ways the wind can affect whatever vehicle I’m in. Of course, it is always up to me as the one who is in control of the boat or plane to adjust the sails or wings properly to make the best, most practical and safest use of that wind. I must, through training and experience, learn to make that unseen and uncontrollable wind became my servant.

When I feel the wind on my face, I know it is there and I know in which direction it is blowing. The wind can be soft and gentle or it can be wild, and strong! Then, it is up to me to learn what the wind is “telling” me so I will always be the one who is in control of the airplane or sailboat I am in. That’s when I have to make a choice: I can either “fight the wind” or yield to it. When I try to fight the wind, it does not work. I never win that battle. But, when I relax and go with the flow, I’ve found I can; always find ways to make progress toward my goal. For example, when in flight, in a light aircraft, in a strong, rough and bumpy wind, I will choose to head my fragile airplane to the sanctuary and safety a nearby airport. Or, when in a sailboat in stormy winds and rough seas, I will steer toward a protected harbor where I can drop my anchor and know I’ll be safe. In these ways I find I take control of the effects of the wind but I can never actually control the wind.

As Christians, we sometimes try to explain the Holy Spirit as being a person who lives in us where he affects our lives much like the invisible wind. (See Acts: at Pentecost the Holy Spirit came “in the form of a wind”). Like the wind, we are made aware of the Holy Spirit’s presence in us because of the effect he has on us.

As we know, from Scripture, the Holy Spirit’s purpose is to live inside of those who believe in Jesus. This is so God’s character which includes: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control are produced in the lives of all believers. (Gal. 5:22-23).

As Christians we do not have to try to achieve these characteristics on our own, because the Holy Spirit suggests them to our hearts. Also, as believers, we agree and place our trust in what the Holy Spirit advises. The result is that our spiritual growth is improved as we find ourselves “walking in the Spirit” (Gal. 5:25).

As I said before, over a lifetime, I’ve learned the many ways I could make the wind work for my benefit. This experience has given me a better understanding of how the invisible wind of the Holy Spirit can guide my heart and mind. Experience has also taught me I cannot control the “wind of the Holy Spirit” any more than I can control the natural winds of this world. The benefit to me is that the wind of the Holy Spirit is constantly guiding, directing, and doing a work in me, so that, what I do, the way I live, is what God wants.

But what about the non-Christians out there? Again, the “uncontrollable” Holy Spirit can be like a wind that also gently nudges the hearts and minds of all non-Christians. The Spirit offers them those same benefits: a new born again life of forgiveness with Jesus. (John 16:8-11). This gentle persuasion is done so these non-believers will feel welcomed and - hopefully — have a desire to understand the Scripture that says to them: “greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world.” (Rom. 8).

When there is wind, we know it is there because we see what it does. In the same way, with our faith and trust in God, we can live our lives with the expectation that we will experience the good effects of the wind of the Holy Spirit who lives in each believer.

Finally, when we relinquish our attempts to control the uncontrollable wind of the Holy Spirit who lives in us. then, and only then, will he become — our guide.
